This policy sets out the basis of which any personal data collected from you or that you provide to us is processed by us. By visiting Diet Scotland you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

Technical information, IP address used to connect your computer to the internet, log in information browser type and version time zone setting browser plug in types and versions operating system and platform.

Information about your visit including the full Uniform resource locators (URL) click stream to, through and from our site including date and time. Products you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages and any phone number used to contact us.

We will use this information to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us to provide you with the information and clinical services that you request from us.

To provide you with information about we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about.

To provide you, or permit selected third parties (other medical professionals)  to provide you with information advice or services we feel would benefit you. If you are an existing client we will only contact you by electronic means (SMS or Email) or Royal Mail.

To administer our site and for internal operations, including data analysis testing research statistical and survey purposes.
To improve our site to ensure the content is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer.

We may share  (with your permission) your information with selected third parties, other Medical professionals, GP’s, Consultants, Physiotherapists, Psychiatrists and or other therapists as deemed necessary to protect and promote your well being.

Data held by Diet Scotland will not form assets of the company and will not be shared or transferred in the event of the company ceasing to be or being sold.

If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data to a third party in order to comply with  any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use or terms and conditions of supply of services and other agreements or to protect the rights property or safety of Diet Scotland our clients or others.
 

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA;

The information we collect about you is confidential and held within the hard drive of the computer system used. Any paperwork is stored in the form of a file, held in a lockable drawer/ cabinet or other suitable storage device for confidential documents. The information is held for 7 years in line with HPCP policy ( to ensure continuity of care for returning clients, and to protect the timeline in the event of information being required for legal purposes). All steps will be taken to ensure that your data is treated securely and legally and in line with HCPC and BDA policies.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect it we cannot guarantee the security of your data transferred to this site, any transmission is at your own risk. Once we receive your information we will use strict procedures and security measures to try to prevent unauthorised access.
 

YOUR RIGHTS;

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data, to be informed, to have access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to data portability, the right to object and the right not to be subject to automated decision making including profiling.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you are entitled to a Subject Access Request. This means you can ask for a copy of all the information we hold. You can contact lorrainemccreary@dietscotland.com for this information and we will send it to you within 1 month. You can also request that we securely delete any of your personal information that we hold.
